Raptor Set-Up

Hi guys today I want to present u tool (old but very good) - Raptor3 from madmax. I know that most of you know this tool and some peoples will not get any advices from this tutorial but I know also that there are some peoples that dont know how to use this great tool… Ready? So let's go!

What's Raptor3? Very good question. This tool was created with thought about filtering wordlist (randomizing, setting lenght of passwords, removing duplicated etc. But it got also a lot of options that can be used not only for wordlist.

1. Filtering wordlist

First step in our tutorial will show you how to filter our wordlist for best results. Raptor3 can be downloaed from here

After downloading process we need to install it wherever you want to. Now it's time to get wordlist, best way to do that'll be getting one from wordlist section on lawina board. We need to save wordlist in form of *.txt file on your HDD for example in catalog "/wordlists/". Now run raptor3 and open your wordlist (file -> open) or just use shortcut CTRL+O. Now in center frame with black background you should see combos in form (login:pass). So what we want to do now? First and best way filter out wordlist lead throught removing duplicates to do that you need to click on button with trash in left frame. Then you should see options in right frame.

They're following

Keep original - if u check this on duplicates'd be removed but original combos'll stay in our wordlist (recommended) Case sensitive - if u check this option raptor3'll search also for combos with the same upper and lower case letter (not recommended for now) Use reference list - u can add there custom combos that'd be ereased when u run removing duplicates (not recommended for now) Save duplicates - all duplicates'd be saved to other *.txt file if we want to check which one of them were duplicates Reload clean list - it'll reload your actual wordlist in raptor3 without duplicates

To remove duplicates just click on button (Remove Duplicates). Ok now our wordlist is free from duplicates, spans and bad formatted lines. What we want to do now? Use lenght filter! Not all billing system that are used by porn sites show you the restrictions about the lenght of login and password and some additional infos about upper and lower case letter and about that user=pass (no). But for example we want to prepare our site for oxpass.com site so we need to get into (Join section http://www.oxpass.com/t1/REVS=403ibr/join.htm) and there we see restriction for login & pass ( Up to 10 characters) so now we know that our combos cant be greater then 10 digits so go to Filter section in raptor3 to do that click on Filter button in left frame then we should see four pools - two for username (login) and two for password. Oxpass doesn't have restrictions about minimum lenght so we won't use user/pass miminum pools only user/pass maximum pools. So in those pools we need to set 10 because our user/pass use 10 digits max and 0 in minimum because 0=infinity remember 0=no restriction! If password have the same restriction as the username u can use function (Use the same values for password). After u set everything just use button (Filter)! Then in down left corner we see total number of combos we have in our wordlist and on the right the number of combos that was filtered out. Now second example is preparing our wordlist for site kscans.com so we're going to join section and there we see restriction for user & pass but it isnt the same ! U see user minimum digits is 6 and max 16 but password min is 6 and max 8 so we're going to our lovely raptor3 and set user min 6 user max 16 (remember to uncheck option "use the same values!") and password min 6 and max 8. Click on filter and we have a wordlist for kscans! There is also section for custom filters i'll show u howto create simple custom filter. Go to (Custom Filters) click RMB on white clean pool and from content menu choose Add the u should see options for creating custom filterwe want to create one that allow us to filter out combos from our combolist user=pass because some sites don't allow that kind of combos. For example our combos is hansatan:hansatan its forbidden! So in filter name pool set "user=pass" or anything u like to check "remove if" option and in "Filter Subject" choose "USER" now in condition check "Is" and from "What" choose "PASS" click on OK to save our filter now check button on the left from our filter name and click on "Filter button"! U see now our wordlist is filtered out from user=pass combos!

2. Mergeing/spliting/makeing combo list

a. Just simple file operations. Go to "File operations" section in raptor3 first we'll merge our wordlist for example we've a 5 wordlist and we want to make one from'em. So click RMB on white pool and click "Add" then choose wordlist u want to merge (u can set a couple of'em at once) then click on "Save merged files to one" and click "Add" then choose file u want to save wordlist. U can also merge wordlist with your active etc.

b. Now spliting file for example we have a combo list that have 50 000 combos so we want to do 25 000 combo wordlist so we need to split our 50 000 combo wordlist to do that u need to click on "Split file" button then check on "Split by size" and set word per file 25 000 or the number u want too. In filename mask put your splited wordlist directory and use mask [Number] to add next number to each file for example u have one combolist with 50 000 combos and we get a two combolist with 25 000 combos per one combo file so our mask'll be /combofile[Number].txt/ it'll create two *.txt files combofile1.txt and combofile2.txt.

c. U can also create combolist from username list and password list to do that click on "Make combo" button and choose your usernames and passwords list then check on "Simple" button and click on "Make combo".

After mergeing wordlists remember to remove duplicates! It's very important to keep your combos cleaned!

3. Randomizing/reversing/sorting combo list

a. We want to make our combolist randomized what that means? It's rotating our combos using simple algoritm it's very usefull if we want to mix some specific wordlist with other one. To do that click on "List tools" on the top of raptor and then click "Randomize" how many times u'll click on it that many times your combolist'll be randomized.

b. We can reverse our wordlist for example if first combo is hansatan:hansatan and the last is lawina:lawina then first'll be lawina:lawina and last hansatan:hansatan to do that click on "List tools -> "Reverse".

c. Sorting list is very usefull if we want to make our combolist clear. We can sort it alphabetically in ascending and descending order. "List tools -> "Sort ascending" for "A-Z" and "List tools -> "Sort descending" for "Z-A" It'll sort our wordlist in form:

Numbers
Uppercase A-Z
Lowercase A-Z

4. Makeing single list

It's helpfull if we want to make one username or password list. It's great also if we want to create dictionary from our combolist to do that load your wordlist and click on "List tools -> "Make single list" -> "One list". Before it we saw our combos in form:

hansatan:test
test:admin

Now they're in form:

hansatan
test
test
admin

So we need also to remove duplicates.

5. Pass leeching from *.txt file

Leeching is easiest way to get wordlist. To do that we need to collect a lot of passes in form http://user:pass@site then gather'em into *.txt file and save. Now run your raptor3 and go to "Generators" section "Pass leecher" click on "File leecher" click RMB on white empty pool on right and from content menu choose "Add File" then choose your file where you gathereed all passes in form http://user:pass@site and click "Open" you can add a couple of file at the same time of course after it click "Leech" button. Now in center frame we see leeched combos! We need to remove duplicates of course and save our first wordlist to *.txt file to do that u need to choose "File -> Save" or just use shortcut CTRL+S

It's just 1/4 of raptor3 functions! You can create custom passes using "Manipulations" option and much, much more! I have hope this tutorial'll help you to make the first steps into cracking.
