X360 Games Burning Guide

I saw many threads on discussion boards with one question - How to burn Xbox 360 games? Well answer is pretty short and clear, I will try to explain everything in this short tutorial:

First of all we need to get working Xbox 360 Game image (you can make copy of your original game) but let say that we already have image on our HDD so what are we going to do? First check like the image looks - in most of case there should be two files *.000 and *.dvd (*.000 = game image file, when *.dvd = access file with layer break data) layer break data is needed for some burning tools like CloneCD because without this data tool will burn the image as usual single layer DVD! Sometimes there is no *.dvd file we can easily make it useing th is method: Open notepad and type th is info in it:

LayerBreak=1913760
your_game_image_name.iso

And save it as (in directory where game image is):

your_game_image_name.dvd

For example let say that our image name is gow.iso then we need to put data like this:

LayerBreak=1913760
gow.iso

And save it as (in directory where game image is):

gow.dvd

OK! Now we got *.dvd and *.000 or *.iso file so we can burn our image! We need tool called ImgBurn and some blank DVD DL media (I recommend to use VERBATIM DVD+DL), after installation process we can run ImgBurn and directly go to Settings tab (Tools - Settings...) and then into Write tab - in top right corner there is option (Layer Break for DL Media) we need to tick option (User Specified) and put value in box 1913760 (just like on this screen) and then save settings by clicking on OK button. Now we can burn games even without *.dvd file! Now you need to put blank media into your recorder, when it is done you need to set Write Speed to 2,4x and choose file to burn. Burning of X360 game takes about 40 mins so you can do coffee break... Many people ask also about BitSettings well changeing BookType is needed only when you got Firmware older than 4.2. Next frequently asked question is about compatible burners well I use NEC 3520A burner with newest firmware and it works fine I have also heard that Pioneer 111D works fine.
